What can be fun to give someone that can afford most wishes? In my case, I normally sort this out by preparing some extravagant meal and it normally works wonders. But, I also like to think of the person's character, needs, desires, lacks, and this is when I search for something that could be meaningful and last a bit longer than a meal.
These match boxes are one of my favourites for various reasons. The main one is that you can give them to your mom, dad, spouse, child, sweetheart, and make them very personal. You can write whatever you wish on the back, or, like in this case, in the card inserted inside the box.
The wraping can be another creative part of this gift and, as the giver, I get to have all the fun.
What amazes me is how happy the people who receive this present feel. The sky is the limit and the topics never ending. These were carefully made for my friend Karin who became 47 and this picture from the past to remind her that this is the way we women always look at ourselves in the mirror. Isn't it true that no matter how old you are, whenever you think of yourself, in the mind, you are that young lady or this lovely mature woman and, best of all, the mind never registers wrinkles........ have you ever thought of that? I HAVE and that explains why some 70 year's old women sometimes dress like teenagers....................![]()
